Puppies, Youngsters, and Older Dogs Available
Through no fault of his own we now have an exceptional neutered yellow male (5 yrs old July 4th) available. This boy is somewhat of a “special needs” in that he does have some environmental allergies and is on Apoquel monthly. (we get it right from the pharmacy by way of script from our vet) He is a house dog, crate trained (loves his crate), leash trained, loves people, kids, everyone and he goes everywhere. He is up to date on all boosters and rabies, heart worm, flea and tick, microchipped and more. He absolutely loves life and is incredibly happy. Truly a love bug! We are looking for a very specific type of home: Fenced yard preferred as he loves playing and running around outside, a home that is active with kids and people around most of the day, either the only dog or another adult female (or 2) Labrador (preferred), SNOW, he absolutely loves winter and the snow. He is such a great dog, well-mannered and trained, and we will be taking our time looking for his forever family. If you are interested, please fill out the Questionnaire on this website (in great detail) or email directly at susan@moonlitlabradors.com 4/3/26

All of our dogs are screened or DNA tested for the following: hips and elbows, eyes, Cardiac Echo Doppler, PRA (Progressive Retinal Atrophy), EIC (Exercise Induced Collapse), CNM (Centronuclear Myopathy), DM (Degenerative Myelopathy) and HNPK (Hereditary Nasal Parakeratosis). We also test all our dogs confirming they do not carry the “D Gene” aka the Dilute Gene. This gene is responsible for producing any other so-called color not in Labrador standard such as “silver”. Labradors should not carry this gene. It is not native to the Labrador Retriever but rather introduced by the way of mixing a Labrador with a Weimaraner in the 1950’s.
We breed for ourselves and therefore always have the first pick(s) of any litter born. Our puppies are very rarely placed on a full registration for showing and breeding. If we do, it is to established, well-known show homes only. Instead, we provide healthy, beautiful and biddable puppies for companions, hunting, and any other activity such as agility, obedience, and/or therapy work. ***We do not sell puppies on a full registration for breeding purposes and we do not ship.
